Understanding Meditation

Meditation has been around for many thousands of years. It is a technique geared towards inner discovery and enlightenment. Its' also used for deep relaxation, freedom from thoughts and inner peace. Many people meditate for different reasons, thus achieving different goals. One of the most common reasons for meditation, is relaxation from peoples busy and stressful lifestyles. Stress! The culprit for many ailments and poor health is at an all time high in many a persons life. The combative results of meditation often brings much needed relieve like the rain falling upon a half thirsty tree to this problem. Other people meditate for deep spiritual reasons, such as to achieve enlightenment. Enlightenment in this case is to reach your true self, the self uncluttered with what we call the ego. Then others again meditate to develop better concentration and control of the mind (stilling their thoughts innokin disrupter).

Smile - A Look at False Happiness

Smile... You'll make your brain wonder what your face is up to.

Have you ever seen a poster featuring that old saying "Smile, everyone w i ll wonder what you're up to?"

Where I grew up there was a version of that poster hanging in our laundry room that had Garfield on it, his bi g cat grin was always pretty humorous.

But no matter how I tried I couldn't force myself to smile all the time. I felt like a moron trying to walk around with a grin o n my face for no reason. I was just talking to a friend at work and he said he was driving along behind woman and he caught sight of her face in her side view mirror, she was wearing a huge grin. Maybe she was listening to something funny on the radio, that would do it, then ag ain maybe she was just applying that old " feel good" technique.

That's actually what it is. Check it out - when y ou hear, see or think something funny your brain releases endorphins th at cause you to feel pleasant and happy, the muscles that make you s mile go to work and you en dup looking happy.

It's been found to work in reverse too. When you sm ile for no reason, your brain will release endorphins causing you to fe el happy. So, you can smile because you're happy, or smile to be happy, it works either way. But is it a good idea to pretend be happy all the time ? I d on't think so.

Someone who tries to be happy all the time coul d end up being confused with their inner feelings and emotions. There' s no logic in smiling just so others "wonder what you're up to." Even if s miling makes us feel happy, there's a time a nd a place.

There's a fellow where I work who's always sporting a dumb gr in with his eyebrows raised as if he's in a state of euphoria. He lo oks like a complete idiot. I don't wonder what he's up to, I wonder why th e heck he walks around looking like a dope all day.

Angel of Comfort

I am an Angel artist and several weeks ago while listening to the late night news, a news story came on that really touched my heart. On the way home in the wedding limo ... a drunk driver caused a horrible wreck, resulting in the loss of a child and the limo driver. This story stayed in my mind. A few days later, a woman emailed me requesting my help. She wanted to know if an Angel painting could be created for this family. I immediately knew who the family was. I heard a voice say ..."Yes, you can help ... Create an Angel of Comfort for her painting ... their energies are needed here." I emailed the woman and she immediately commissioned the painting nuskin.

The painting took on a life of its' own. Upon delivery, the woman emailed back saying this was perfect and just what she had envisioned to help this family. I know my paintings help others all the time and had never thought of them helping in this way. The voice is still saying "There are more to help". I am researching grief and loss, thus the Angel of Comfort Gallery was created.

In my research, one of the definitions that I found really struck a chord with me. "Grief is the reaction to loss." Losses can range from loss of employment, divorce, pets, social status, a sense of safety, order, possessions, to the loss of the people nearest to us including friendships and relationships. Having experienced several of these losses myself, I would never have described the pain that I was going through as grieving unless it was the death of a loved one or pet. When I thought about what I had experienced during these times I had a light bulb moment ... I realized the pain felt no different. I was actually grieving. This put a new comprehension on what I had been told ... "There are more to help" ... and why the Angel of Comfort Angel paintings will help so many nuskin.

Grief is grief and loss is loss and our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies respond the same with a deep and profound sense of loss. This has opened within me a new understanding of the work I have been given and why this new additional door has been opened on the path of my spiritual journey.

The bible verse in Matthew 5:4: "Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted", keeps running through my mind. It is through the mourning that healing takes place. This is the way releasing deep pain was intended by God, with the promise that comfort will be and is provided. God sends His Angels for all things, for we are dearly loved and cared for and never alone.

A whole new understanding of grief and loss nuskin.

What is the Evil Eye?

The Evil Eye has been around since the beginning of time. It simply means sending someone a thought that seems intrusive or invasive or has the power to hurt him or her. The bad fortune that results is considered to have been caused by envy. The evil eye is not necessarily considered to be intentional or associated with witchcraft or sorcery. Oddly enough, this thought form could actually be complimentary in nature. The origins of the Evil Eye are Middle-Eastern and Mediterranean. The concept was introduced into the Americas, South Pacific Islands, Asia, Africa and Australia by European explorers nuskin.

Sending someone the evil eye comes from the concept that we all have a Third Eye, located in the center of our forehead. Blinding, fogging or obscuring the third eye is often the intent of the energy's sender. Most of us have experienced the weird power of the phenomenon. All it takes is a gaze that seems to be unfriendly, indifferent or blank and seems to a couple of seconds too long. We think about it for a few minutes afterwards or perhaps an image of the person staring at us preoccupies our thoughts occasionally for the rest of the day. Perhaps that is why the British and Scottish term for the "evil eye" is "overlooking." It implies that a gaze has remained too long upon the coveted object, person or animal.

The evil eye is also known as the envious or invidious eye. In Italian it is called the malocchio and in Spanish the malojo (loosely translated as the bad eye) The evil eye is known as ayin horeh in Hebrew; ayin harsha in Arabic, droch shuil in Scotland, mauvais oeil in France, bsen Blick in Germany, and was known as oculus malus among the classical Romans nuskin.

The original belief is that any person can harm your children, livestock, fruit trees or any other evidence of prosperity just by looking at the spoils of all your good will and hard work with envy. Ironically, the curse of the evil eye is thought to be provoked by inappropriate displays of spiritual pride or excessive beauty. There is a theory that very famous people and celebrities suffer more personal misfortune than others simply because they are subjected to more "overlooking" and envy than others.

This superstition might have some grounding in evolutionary psychology as usually one animal is thought to dominate or be aggressive to another simply by staring at it for too long. Psychologically speaking, staring or glaring at someone is officially considered an intrusion into your affairs. Apparently, there is a fine line between casting a glance to casting a spell. In these post Celestine Prophecy times, this kind of stare could be compared to a kind of etheric laser beam or amoebic arm that rips open your aura. Others would describe the infliction of the evil eye as the projection of an image (such as the image of the person you have offended or hurt) so that you see only that to the exclusion of all other sight. In other words, you see that person wherever you go or feel that your life's events are always colored by your dealing with that person. Another symptom is the inability to proceed with ordinary, daily events without feeling somehow compelled to make things right with the person you have often unknowingly offended with your grandiosity Cruise Travel Agents.

Avoid Saying Again

Most women tend to criticize themselves. All of us experienced the moments when it`s easier to define yourself as a miserable person when everything goes wrong. However, a strong independent woman should never do that. While it may be useful to make a constructive criticism, showering yourself with negative ‘compliments’ can completely ruin your self-esteem. Never, ever say the adverb ‘never.’ Well yes, it`s impossible for all women to be as beautiful, successful and famous as Angelina Jolie, but there are much more important things in our life than beauty and fame. It may sound ridiculous, but you may be better than any other famous woman. You may have some unique skills or traits that no one has. And finally, you can be successful and happy whenever you want – the only thing you need is your desire.

Think you`re not good enough to have great relationships, to be promoted or to have such a lovely family? But your boss loves your projects, your boyfriend can`t live without you and your parents do their best to make your life easier. How can you say you don`t deserve it all? Of course, you do! Actually, you deserve even more than you already have Hong Kong Time difference.

Probably, you are having a bad day and you want to spend some time alone, but it’s not a reason to say everyone, ‘Ignore me’ or ‘Leave me alone.’ When we say it, we simply want to show that we can deal with everything ourselves. But when you say so, you admit that you`re not worth of any treatment and care. Don’t say it again as people that are ready to help love you and do take care of you, so accept that precious attention.

Mind to Make the Most Productive Day

Are you ready to unlock your productivity potential? As we enter the final quarter of 2015, it’s time to look back on the year. Have you accomplished at least 75% of the resolutions you made at the beginning of the year? If you haven’t, don’t worry; here are some tips on how to make your day the most productive.

The first thing you need to keep in mind is that you are in control of your life nu skin.

“The bad news is time flies. The good news is you’re the pilot.” – Michael Altshuler.

Mr. Altshuler was right. Time flies, and sometimes it flies so fast without you realizing it. What you need to remember is that everything in your life is dictated by the choices you make. So, begin each day by reminding yourself that you are in control and you decide what happens today.

Only you can decide whether or not it is going to be a productive day nu skin.

Start your day with a positive mind. Not all tasks that you have listed are easy. This may include talking to your boss about a raise, tackling a complicated project — or even just going to the gym. You may start thinking that your boss will say ‘No’ or about all the obstacles you are going to face on the project. You might think going to the gym is too tiring and better not do it.

Abraham Lincoln said, “We can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorn bushes have roses.”

We just have to look at things differently. Perhaps your boss will consider that you have made valuable contributions to the team and agree that your request for a raise is justified. Look at a complicated project as a challenge that will help you learn something. Think of the benefits going to gym will give you. (If nothing else, think of a special treat you can indulge in once you have done your gym session.) Learn to be optimistic and good things will follow. On the other hand, if things didn’t go as expected, then always remember: When one door closes, another will open. The lost opportunity may not be for you but you are up for something much better nu skin hk.

Phone Charging Debunked

Most people in this day and age have a smartphone. This means that the majority of us have access to our social media accounts, mobile games, news, e-mail, and more pretty much anywhere or anytime we need it.

The problem with smartphones is that, because we use them so much, they usually run out of battery fairly rapidly. This means we all carry around extra chargers to bring to work, plug into our cars, and so on and so forth. All of this charging has, quite unexpectedly, led to the emergence of several charging-related myths. I am sure you are already familiar with a couple of them Veda Salon.

All that said, what is the truth about the Lithium-ion batteries powering our pocket computers? What battery-related advice should you believe, and which should you forget about? Find out below.

We have all likely heard this one before, and it probably emerged at a time when battery technology was nowhere near as advanced as it is today. The truth, according to experts like Shane Broesky, is that “leaving your phone plugged in overnight is okay to do.”

Apparently, the technology regulating smartphone batteries has advanced to the point where it knows exactly when to stop feeding a charge into your device. In other words, there is no risk of you “overcharging” your phone and causing damage to the battery, as there are safeguards in place to prevent that from happening Miramar Travel.

What you do need to worry about, according to Broesky, is overheating. So, if you are going to leave your phone charging overnight, make sure you place it in a relatively cool area. Also, remove any case you may have put on it so that heat from the battery can escape in a timely fashion.

I don’t know where this myth came from, but I’ve seen this repeated constantly. What makes this particularly egregious is that completely draining your battery before a charge actually causes it to become more unstable.

Shane Broesky suggests instead that we keep our devices charged “between 50 and 80 percent.” In other words, you should charge your phone intermittently throughout the day instead of waiting to perform a “deep charge” from 0 to 100 percent Diamond water.
